We all have our own pile of insecurities, right? The idle thoughts that constantly bang our mind; “you are the worst”, “you are good for nothing”, “you are one mass of unworthiness”. We struggle to get through all of this. Some days we feel like never waking up from the bed, lying there all day like a shrunk piece of fruit. I am too struggling and everyone we see and interact with is struggling. But what makes all of us live then? The tiniest of special things we hold in our life.

The blessings we have.

That little control we have on our lives.

The loved ones we have around us may not completely understanding us, yet in a certain way close to us.

The birds that came on the rail of our windows to express her feelings in a melody. The intellect we have to learn new things.

The sheer purity of smile from an unknown person.

The hot air that gets filled in our mouth that makes us jump while eating our favorite food.

That one letter your friend gave you when you promised each other being best friend for life (even if the person has left, you have those memories that make you think of the good days you spent ).

That one time you helped someone and they were so grateful for you in a more innocent way.

That day you made your parents proud by winning some quiz competitions in school. How proud you were of yourself.

That moment when you reached home after a dry day and having a shower.

You may think that you don’t count in the universe. That people don’t need you. Of course, they need you in ways that can never be said to you. You were a strong pillar of support for many when it was the worst time for them. You made them laugh with your weirdest joke when they were dealing with pain.

You matter!

You count Sweetie!

I suppose one of the reasons we’re all able to continue to exist for our allotted span in this green and blue valley of tears is that there is always, however remote it might seem, the possibility of change.
